About Aaron Dolton, Founder
With a background in interactive marketing spanning more than 14 years, Aaron Dolton has experience in everything from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
How he got his start…
Aaron started his interactive journey in the mid 90’s designing websites for the commercial construction industry. After honing his development skills, he moved on to the strategic marketing side helping media conglomerate, COX Enterprises to grow their online media divisions across the country.
Intro to start-up culture…
In early 2000, he leveraged this experience as a founding member of a venture-backed software services firm, Question Technologies, Inc, that raised $34.5MM of first round funding before later being acquired by Motive Communications.
Corporate communications…
After leaving the software industry, Aaron spent 6+ years developing and managing marketing communications programs for the Real Estate industry. As a marketing executive for multiple publicly-traded, Fortune 500 home builders, Aaron was responsible for generating more than 10,000 new home sales worth more than $1.8B in revenue. It was here where Aaron developed unique and interactive point-of-sale marketing programs that later became the basis of his first solo venture - Builder Television.
Intro to entrepreneurship…
In early 2007, Aaron formed Dolton Ventures, Inc., a Texas-based corporation with multiple company divisions specializing in developing products and services in the areas of digital strategy and emerging media. His first venture, Builder Television, called upon his experience in interactive marketing, product development, and real estate to help bridge the gap of real-time communication between corporate marketing departments and their fragmented sales offices. By installing Internet-connected digital signs in model homes and design centers, Builder Television helped to provide timely promotional messages to consumers when it mattered most - the point-of-decision.
Newest ventures…
Since his first venture, Aaron has launched several other divisions of Dolton Ventures, Inc.
- narrowCAST marketing was formed to provide the digital signage solutions to industries outside of Real Estate.
- stra-digi was formed to provide digital strategy consulting services to new and existing clients
- Epointment (soon to be launched) provides qualified sales appointments for real estate, insurance, mortgage, and service trades
